In an age when many ministries, speakers and bands refuse to go anywhere if the price isn't right or the venue isn't large enough, we have a burden to bring the big to the small. Here's why: - The average size church in America is just under 90 people. - The average size youth group in America is 12. Our question? If all the great speakers and ministries are only willing to go to the big Paul Jenkins, the founder of That Youth Thing, travels and speaks to churches, youth ministries, college and university groups, conferences, civic groups and anywhere else he's asked. His heart is to encourage people anytime, anywhere. If a youth group in midwestern America needs him to speak to their 8 members, he's going. If a mega-church calls, he's saying yes. And everytime it is for a love offering. The exciting thing is how many doors a policy like that can open. Small churches and youth groups don't get left out because they don't have a lot to give. The scary thing about that policy is that Paul's been in local youth ministry for 2 decades and he's actually counted offerings that youth groups and small churches give. Trust us, there's not a lot there. Well, there's a lot of love, but not much offering. Because of that, they get left out when they are the groups that probably need hope, encouragement and training the most! We believe that when God gives someone a vision, He always gives others a willingness to help in the fulfillment of that vision. Many of you don't want to travel around and speak and train, but you read this and your heart cries out, "Yes! That's exactly what needs to be happening." And your part in this whole crazy anytime, anywhere vision that we have at TYT is praying and giving. Would you be willing to help fund this effort? If so, you can use the buttons to the right to donate online or simply send a check to the address we've provided. Currently, TYT has the following needs: $2,500/mo. salary and operating expenses
(35% raised) The great thing about having a vision is that doing it isn't dependant upon people giving. We're doing it regardless. But God's glory is even furthur seen when His body partners together to see great things happen. We hope that you'll feel your heart stirred to help us reach a generation of believers with hope and encouragement. Thank you for taking the time to hear our heart. May God bless you. Paul |
